“I was only eight when I first came to camp and I was absolutely terrified! The only people I knew there were my family, but within hours after arriving I felt as though I had a whole new family to comfort and support me.”
Our staff sets White Pine apart. They are mature, nurturing and committed to providing every camper with the most incredible experience possible. Many of our staff return year after year and are adored by the campers.
“I have been lucky enough to call CWP my home for the past 11 summers. I first came to camp as a kiwi, and I have grown and developed so much in the years since then. Camp has taught me so many lessons that I will use for the rest of my life, like leadership skills, how to make strong friendships, and also how to be independent. The friends and relationships I have made at camp are bonds that will last forever. I truly believe that camp has helped shape me into the person I am today. I can’t wait for my next chapter at camp to begin and to see what summer #12 has in store.”
First-time campers immediately feel the spirit when they arrive at camp. Warm, nurturing counsellors welcome them with open arms. From the moment they step into their cabin, everyone is included as part of the cabin group. Friendships are formed that often last a lifetime.
